TO FIND AN IT SECURITY SPECIALIST FOR AN INTERNATIONAL BANK
In banks, IT security specialists are one of the key employees. This person ensures the confidentiality of the clients’ personal data, prevents information leakages, analyses potential informational risks. To cut a long story short, these are the people who make the bank secure.
This was our client’s request. A big international bank was in need of an IT security specialist, and they were aiming for the best of the best.
THE BANKS OF SCOTLAND, A TALENT TREASURY
It’s hard to search for specialists like this simply because you don’t know where to find them. The client wasn’t making it easier either: we got more and more updates on the position. Foreign language, foreign bank experience, no fewer than five years… we simply couldn't catch a break. On one hand, the variables in this equation were multiplying. On the other hand, the mention of the “foreign bank” got our recruiter thinking.
He highlighted several international banks and a couple of major local banks in other countries to outline the search area. After that, it was just process of elimination, one-by-one. The recruiter contacted every person who had anything to do with the security. Even if some of them weren’t qualified enough, they could point out some of their colleagues.
A tight search bore fruit. In four days our recruiter introduced a specialist who simply left no room for others. Our candidate was the former vice president of the Royal Bank of Scotland.
HIGHLY QUALIFIED SPECIALIST FOR THE CLIENT AND A STORY FOR US
Of course, there was no doubt about the candidate’s competencies. As soon as we introduced him to the company, it turned out some of the top managers knew him personally — apparently when you’re the VP of Royal Bank of Scotland, you don’t lack for popularity. The offer didn’t take long, and within a week, the position was filled.
The client got themselves an outstanding and familiar specialist, and we’ve got a chance to know the foreign market better.
